This small selection of paintings arose from a commission by the MSEP,to produce a map of the orchard for Kent Orchards for Everyone, a three year HLF project celebrating our traditional orchards through community engagement, education and volunteering. The orchard stands at the very heart of Iwade village and is one of only two orchards in Kent, home to the particularly rare and attractive Noble chafer beetle.

Originally from Co. Durham, Paul Fowler graduated from Canterbury College of Art in 1992 with a B.A.Hons in Fine Art. His work is inspired by the immediate landscapes of north Kent
and the landscape tradition within British painting. He has exhibited work at the Royal
Watercolour Society, Royal Society of British Artists, New English Art Club and the Royal Academy Summer Show. He currently works from a studio in Faversham close by to the Swale, which has inspired much of his art. If you wish purchase any of the pictures shown here, you can e-mail Paul directly here. You can see more of his work here.
